Annual Electrical Safety Inspection
Every plan includes a full inspection covering:
- Inspect the main electrical panel and accessible subpanels
- Check breakers for damage, overheating, corrosion, or improper sizing
- Tighten accessible electrical panel connections as needed
- Inspect service entrance conductors and equipment
- Inspect meter base visually for damage or overheating
- Check grounding and bonding connections
- Test accessible GFCI outlets
- Test accessible AFCI breakers
- Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Inspect accessible outlets and switches for damage or overheating
- Check exterior outlets and weatherproof covers
- Inspect accessible junction boxes for missing covers
- Check for double-tapped breakers or other visible panel concerns
- Review surge protection equipment
- Perform thermal imaging of panels, if included
- Identify visible code and safety concerns
- Provide a written inspection report with recommended repairs
